After tea was discovered, people's way of drinking tea has gone through three stages of development and evolution.
(1) Brew tea. Whether it is Shennong boiling tea with water, or the theory of sencha brewing tea mentioned by Lu Yu in the "Tea Sutra". At the beginning, humans boiled tea before drinking, and Guo Pu mentioned in the note in "Erya" that tea "can be boiled as a soup", which means that when boiling tea, corn and seasoning condiments are added to cook it into porridge. Until the Tang Dynasty, people were accustomed to this drinking method, and to this day, ethnic minorities in remote areas of China are accustomed to adding other foods to tea.
(2) Half drink half tea. By the time of the Qin and Han dynasties, tea had appeared not only as a medicinal herb, but also in people's lives. It gradually became a good product for hospitality, and people also created a half-tea tea making and tea use method at this time. They mash the tea into the lake, add boiling water and process and flavor.
(3) Make tea. This way of drinking tea can also be called the whole leaf brewing method, which began in the Tang Dynasty and prevailed in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, which is a further step in the role of tea drinking. Pure tea brewing is called "Qing Ming" by the Tang people, and after drinking "Qing Ming", chew the tea leaves, and taste its taste can be greatly enjoyed.
