Definition of Chinese tea culture
Marxist dialectical materialist culture holds that culture is a social phenomenon, and it is a social form that only appeared after the formation of human society. It is a reflection of social existence, a reflection of socio-economic politics and ideology. At the same time, it in turn serves socio-economic, political and ideological services. Abstractly speaking, culture is the objective expression of human spiritual civilization and ideology, which is usually expressed by means of material forms or with material as the carrier.
Tea culture is a general term for various cultural forms in which human beings use tea as a carrier to express various concepts, beliefs, thoughts and emotions between people and nature and between people in the process of developing, producing and using tea.
However, some scholars start from the perspective of "big culture" and believe that all material and spiritual phenomena created by human beings are called culture. The meaning of tea culture should include the material production, circulation activities and spiritual connotation of tea drinking in various ways of human beings, including the material and spiritual aspects of the tea field. Some scholars believe that tea culture is a collection of material culture, institutional culture and spiritual culture with tea as the theme.
